Itinerary

Canaima Lagoon

Day 1. Caracas- Canaima National Park

We fly early in the morning to Canaima National Park. After arriving we will check in at our chosen accommodation. In the afternoon, we will will be taken across the Canaima lagoon where we can see a group of four different cascades known as Hacha, Wadaima, Ucaima and Golondrina and walk along the pink sand banks and up for about 20 minutes through the jungle to the majestic Sapo Falls. From this point and on, you may walk behind the falls while enjoying great scenery through a powerful water curtain. Dinner at the camp before going to sleep (beds) to the sound of crickets.

Day 2. Angel Falls

After breakfast, we will take a motorized canoe up the Carrao and Churún rivers towards the amazing Angel Falls. As we travel along the rivers for about 4 hours/ 70 kilometers, we will have the time to take in the lush scenery and the fantastic Tepuys, which are isolated, flat-topped mountains that can only be seen in this part of the world. Picnic lunch en route.
At Devil’s Canyon, we can see the Angel Falls cascading 1km down from the top of Auyántepuy and running all the way to Churún river. From this point, we will walk up through the dense jungle for about an hour / 3 kilometers to the Laime viewpoint and we may swim in the freshwater of Angel Falls. Have a good sleep in our comfortable hammocks in front of the tallest fall in the world, our tour guide will show how to get a perfect sleep as local Pemons do.

Day 3. From Angel Falls to Canaima Lagoon

After breakfast and coffee at the camp, enjoy the spectacular views of Angel Falls with the sunlight hitting the walls of Auyan Tepui and other rock formations, waterfalls and primary forest jungle. We will return down the river to the first camp. Lunch en route to Canaima Lagoon. Dinner included.

Day 4. Return to Caracas

After breakfast and coffee at the camp we have a few hours free in Canaima Lagoon village before your final flight over the jungle to Caracas. No lunch, no dinner included. End of service.
