Itinerary
Day 1. Canaima Lagoon
Join us on an unforgettable journey from Caracas to Canaima National Park. Begin at Canaima Lagoon, marveling at waterfalls like Hacha, Wadaima, Ucaima, and Golondrina. Trek through the jungle to Sapo Falls, canoe to Auyan Tepui, and admire Angel Falls. Conclude the adventure with dinner and a peaceful hammock sleep, surrounded by nature’s calming sounds. (D)
Day 2. Angel Falls
Enjoy the first views of the falls with the sun bouncing on the walls of Auyan Tepui before a fueling breakfast to get ready for a great day. We will walk up through the jungle for about an hour (4.1kms) to the Laime viewpoint and then down to the rock pools near the base of the waterfall. If you get lucky, you may swim in the freshwater of Angel Falls.
Return to base camp for lunch, relax while enjoying a jungle sunset, and dine before sleeping in hammocks. Your guide will demonstrate how to sleep comfortably, just like the local Pemons. (All meals)
Day 3. Back to Canaima Lagoon
Start your day with breakfast and coffee at the campsite, enjoying stunning morning views of the falls. Then, canoe down the Churun and Carrao rivers to Canaima Lagoon. At day’s end, check into a basic posada with private bathrooms, freshen up, and enjoy dinner. Explore Canaima village, meet friendly locals, and shop for unique handicrafts. (All meals)
Day 4. Canaima Lagoon - Puerto Ordaz
After breakfast and coffee at the camp you have a few hours free in Canaima Lagoon village before your final flight over the jungle to Puerto Ordaz or Ciudad Bolivar. (B)
We will depart very early for a 700 kms drive to San Francisco de Yuruani with a few stops along the way. After we cross the misty dense jungle road of Sierra de Lema find the stunning Gran Sabana located in the Eastern sector of Canaima National Park with views of the Tepuys Valley, Kama Falls and its inmense Savannahs. Dinner and overnight at rustic camp with beds and private bathroom. ( No meals)
Day 6. Parai Tepui – Tek River
We will drive from San Francisco de Yuruani to Parai Tepuy to hike nearly 14 hours and reach the first base camp located at 1050 meters above the sea level. Our guide and porters will set up the camp for a nice dinner in the foothill of Roraima. (5 hours hiking, all meals).
Day 7. Tek River-Base camp
Today we will hike 9kms to the base camp of Monte Roraima located at 1850 meters above the sea level. Enjoy spectacular views of the walls of the mountain and enjoy a refreshing swim in the river nearby the camp. (about 5 hours hiking, all meals).
Day 8. Base camp- Roraima Top
We will have a steep hike for about 3 hours (1,5 kms) through the jungle as we reach the top of The Lost World (2800 masl). Leisure afternoon to enjoy the fascinating views of the surroundings with its interesting rock shapes as result of 2 Billion years of erosion. Our following 2 nights will be in tents in one of the top cavities of Roraima. (All meals)
Day 9. The Lost World Top
We will explore the top and reach the Crystal Valley where we find strange and beautiful quartz rocks, we will also see the Gran Sabana and Kukenan Tepui window enjoy a refreshing swim in the natural jacuzzi with red, sand and golden colors on its waters. We will relax and get ready for the descend of 7 hours. (All meals)
Day 10. Roraima Top- Tek River
Today we will hike down 10,5 kms for about 7 hours to Tek river enjoying some of the last views of the walls of Roraima. (All meals)
Day 11. Tek River – Yuruani
We will walk about 4 hours to Parai Tepuy where will be collected to get driven back to San Francisco de Yuruani. Overnight in a comfortable posada with bedrooms and private bathroom. (B)
Day 12. Yuruani- Puerto Ordaz
We depart early in the morning and drive all the way back to Puerto Ordaz. Overnight at standard hotel in town (No meals)
Day 13. Ciudad Bolivar -Orinoco
We journey by road to Uracoa pier, then by boat to our jungle lodge nestled in the lush rainforest along Orinoco river tributaries. Spot diverse flora and fauna from the comfort of your boat – water hyacinths, pink dolphins, giant river otters, anacondas, tortoises, and red howler monkeys. Witness Warao Indigenous villages with raised dwellings along riverbanks. Your Warao guide will introduce edible plants and optional juicy grubs tasting. Relax at camp before dinner, then savor the tranquil Orinoco river ambiance.
Day 14. Orinoco Delta
Morning brings Orinoco river navigation to spot diverse species: river dolphins, spectacled caimans, capuchin and red howler monkeys, hummingbirds, and kingfishers. Lunch at camp precedes a boat trip to Warao villages and palafitos, learning about Warao culture and daily life. Meet craftsmen and observe their work. Enjoy a hearty dinner with local drinks. Night tours available upon request for an extra fee.
Day 15. Delta del Orinoco – Puerto Ordaz
This morning you will be taken out to a quiet spot in the river to do some Piranha fishing and after lunch we travel by river one last time to Uracoa pier and drive up to Puerto Ordaz. End of tour

Keep in mind that changes in the schedule may occur due to weather conditions, so it's important to plan your trip with some flexibility. Salto Angel:
Flights to Canaima National Park on Embraer 190, Cessna 206, or other aircraft.
Transfers in open wooden canoes with outboard motors.
Roraima:
Overland transfers from San Francisco de Yuruani to Río Tek in 4×4 vehicles.
Overland transfers from/to Puerto Ordaz or Ciudad Bolívar in sedan, 4×4 vehicles to Roraima, or local bus.
Orinoco Delta:
Transfers in open fiberglass boats with outboard motors, with a maximum capacity of 16 travelers plus crew.

Roraima: Minimum of 5 nights in tents located at the Tepui base, Río Tek Camp, and some caves at the top of Roraima.
For a 7-day trek, there will be 6 nights in tents.
You must bring your own sleeping bag and mat. If needed, we can provide them for an additional fee:

You will share your tent with another participant. If you prefer a single tent, you may opt for one at an additional US$40.
These extra costs are payable in cash only to our team at Roraima.

Orinoco Delta: 2 nights in a rustic camp with rooms that include a bed and private bathroom.

Ciudad Bolívar or Puerto Ordaz: Posada with bedrooms + private bathroom.
Angel Falls:
Suitable for all. The most challenging part is the hike to the base of Salto Ángel: 4 km each way, with a maximum incline of around 45 degrees.
Not recommended for children under 5.
The hike to the base of Salto Ángel is about 60% flat and 40% uphill, covering 4.1 km each way. Expect over 90% humidity, with sandy, root-laden, rocky trails, and numerous puddles.
If you prefer not to do the hike, you can rest at the base camp with full views of Salto Ángel.

Roraima:
Not suitable for all. The trek covers approximately 80 km, requiring good physical condition, with steep climbs, high temperatures, and changing weather conditions. However, it is manageable and not highly difficult.
Porters are available for US$30 per day, payable directly in cash.
Daily Distances on Roraima:
– Day 1: 15 km – Mostly flat, with high temperatures across the savanna of Canaima National Park.
– Day 2: 9 km – Steep climbs with high temperatures.
– Day 3: 7 km – Steep ascent to the summit, where it’s cooler and shadier.
– Day 4: 20 km – Dependent on activities at the top.
– Day 5: 15 km – Descent from the summit, with temperature changes.
– Day 6: 13 km – Mostly flat with high temperatures.

Orinoco Delta:
Suitable for all, very easy. The longest walk is from the boat to your room, around 40 meters.
Expect over 90% humidity, with high temperatures at midday.
We recommend NOT bringing hard-shell suitcases. Handling them can be very difficult and may incur additional costs at your expense.
Your luggage should not exceed 15 kg. Extra weight may incur extra charges, and airlines cannot guarantee transporting additional weight on the same day.
Take a photo of your luggage and label it for identification.
Remember that porters are not included, so every kilogram counts, especially for Roraima.
You are solely responsible for your personal belongings. If you forget something at any camp, waterfall, or natural location, retrieving it may require additional costs for fuel, logistics, personnel, etc., which will be exclusively covered by you in cash and on-site.
Angel Falls: Ideal from June to December.
During the dry season, it’s still possible to reach Salto Ángel with more effort, but we can’t guarantee access as we prioritize your safety and cannot control natural conditions.
Mount Roraima: Accessible year-round. Rainy season runs from April to September, while the drier season (not completely dry) lasts from October to March.
In the rainy season, trails become more challenging and slippery, so fewer people attempt it. However, there’s often easier access to prime camp locations, and waterfalls are more prominent during this period.
The less rainy months attract more adventurers, making camps busier. This period’s advantage is that the trek is easier and safer.
Orinoco Delta: Excellent year-round.

Dry Season at Angel Falls
Our dry season usually spans late January to early June, though weather can vary. If extreme drought makes river access to Angel Falls impossible, we will issue a US$100 refund. If you’re interested in a flyover, we can help arrange the best price and experience.
Due to the remote area, we lack precise weather data and rely on reports from other guides and the Canaima National Park office. Typically, weather updates are only available as you approach the Churún River.
Your safety is our top priority. We will keep you informed of weather conditions and offer alternatives to ensure you have a memorable experience.
Weather at Angel Falls and Roraima is unpredictable, with cold, heat, sun, and rain potentially occurring all in one day, sometimes within minutes. Be prepared for all conditions and temperatures.
