Discover Eastern Venezuela on an 10-day adventure, visiting the world’s tallest waterfall, Angel Falls, the pristine Orinoco Delta, and the welcoming Warao people, along with incredible wildlife. Explore one of Venezuela’s longest caves and the lesser-known Miraflores Canyon, then unwind on some of the best beaches in Venezuela at Mochima National Park or Isla Margarita.

Itinerary

Day 1. Caracas-Canaima N.P

Fly from Caracas to Canaima National Park for an unforgettable adventure. Explore Canaima Lagoon’s stunning waterfalls, trek through lush jungle to Sapo Falls, and canoe along rivers to Angel Falls. End the day with dinner and hammock relaxation amidst nature’s soothing sounds. (D)

Start with stunning views of Angel Falls and Auyan Tepui, then enjoy a hearty breakfast. Hike through the jungle to the Laime viewpoint, swim in the rock pools, have lunch, and relax with a jungle sunset.

Day 3. Angel Falls - Mayupa

After breakfast at camp, enjoy breathtaking views of Angel Falls with sunlight reflecting off Auyan Tepui. Travel down the river to Mayupa Savannah and begin a 3-hour hike to the top of Kuravaina Tepui. Enjoy a picnic lunch at Pozo Azul Falls, relax while admiring the iconic Kuravaina, Kurun, and Kusari Tepuis. Overnight in hammocks. (All meals included)

Day 4. Mayupa- Canaima Lagoon

After breakfast and coffee at the campsite while enjoying the awe-inspiring sight of Kuravaina, Kusari and Kurun Tepuis, we will take a river journey back to Canaima Lagoon where will check in at a local posada with bedrooms and private bathroom. (All meals)

Day 5. Canaima- Ciudad Bolivar

After breakfast and coffee at the camp you have a few hours free in Canaima Lagoon village before your final flight over the jungle to Puerto Ordaz or Ciudad Bolivar.   (B)

Day 6. Ciudad Bolivar -Orinoco

Travel by road to the Uracoa pier, then take a boat to a jungle lodge nestled in the dense rainforest near an Orinoco tributary. Along the way, enjoy views of the flora, fauna, and Warao villages with their stilt houses. Guided by Warao experts, sample edible plants or try grubs. Relax at the lodge, savor a delicious dinner, and embrace the tranquility of the river. (D) 

Day 7. Orinoco Delta

Spend the morning cruising along the Orinoco River, spotting its rich wildlife. Look out for river dolphins and spectacled caimans in the water, capuchin and red howler monkeys in the trees, and hummingbirds and kingfishers overhead. Afterward, return to the lodge for lunch, then visit Warao villages to immerse yourself in their culture, meet local artisans, and enjoy meals, drinks, and optional night tours. (All meals included)

Cueva del Guacharo is such an interesting place

After an early breakfast, head to Cueva del Guácharo National Park to explore one of Venezuela’s largest caves. This limestone cavern spans over 10 km (6.2 mi) and boasts stunning chambers and rock formations. Enjoy a picnic lunch before heading to Miraflores Canyon for hiking and swimming. Continue to Cumana for an overnight stay at a local posada. (B, L)

You can extend your stay in Mochima National Park and continue your journey to destinations such as Caracas, Isla de Margarita or more.

Day 9. Mochima National Park

After breakfast, take a boat trip to Playa Blanca for a relaxing day on the iconic white sands and clear blue waters. Overnight at a local posada.  (B, L)

Day 10. Mochima - Caracas

Have breakfast and then drive to the airport for your flight to Caracas and onward destinations. (B)

Option 2

Extend your stay in Isla Margarita, where you'll find a wide range of options, from beautiful beaches to excellent hotels. You can also add visits to Caracas, Choroni, Andes and many other incredible destinations.

Day 9. Cumana - Isla Margarita

Breakfast and ferry boat to Isla Margarita for about 4 hours. Upon arrival in the island, pick up at the pier and overnight at standard posada in Playa El Yaque. (B)

Day 10. Isla Margarita

Breakfast. Leisure day on your own to relax in the beach of Playa El Yaque or beyond. End of tour. (B)
