Embark on a 4-day adventure through Eastern Venezuela, packed with incredible landscapes, fascinating wildlife, vibrant indigenous communities, stunning white sand beaches, majestic caves, natural landmarks, and charming coffee plantations.
Itinerary
Day 1. Puerto Ordaz -Orinoco
Travel by road to the Uracoa pier, then take a boat to a jungle lodge nestled in the dense rainforest near an Orinoco tributary. Along the way, enjoy views of the flora, fauna, and Warao villages with their stilt houses. Guided by Warao experts, sample edible plants or try grubs. Relax at the lodge, savor a delicious dinner, and embrace the tranquility of the river. (D)
Day 2. Orinoco Delta
Spend the morning navigating the Orinoco River, searching for its diverse wildlife. Highlights include river dolphins and spectacled caimans in the water, capuchin and red howler monkeys in the trees, and hummingbirds and kingfishers overhead. Return to the lodge for lunch, visit Warao villages to learn about their culture, meet local craftsmen, and enjoy meals, drinks, and optional night tours. (All meals)
After an early breakfast, depart for Cueva del Guácharo National Park to explore one of Venezuela’s largest caves. This limestone cavern stretches over 10 km (6.2 mi) and features impressive chambers and rock formations. Enjoy a picnic lunch before visiting Miraflores Canyon for hiking and swimming. Continue to Cumana for an overnight stay at a local posada. (B,L)

Option 1
You can extend your stay in Mochima National Park and continue your journey to destinations such as Caracas, Isla de Margarita, Angel Falls, or more.
Day 4. Mochima National Park
After breakfast, take a boat trip to Playa Blanca for a relaxing day on the iconic white sands and clear blue waters. Overnight at a local posada. (B, L)
Day 5. Mochima - Caracas
Have breakfast and then drive to the airport for your flight to Caracas and onward destinations. (B)
Option 2
Extend your stay in Isla Margarita, where you'll find a wide range of options, from beautiful beaches to excellent hotels. You can also add visits to Angel Falls, Caracas, and many other incredible destinations.
Day 4. Cumana - Isla Margarita
Breakfast and ferry boat to Isla Margarita for about 4 hours. Upon arrival in the island, pick up at the pier and overnight at standard posada in Playa El Yaque. (B)
Day 5. Isla Margarita
Breakfast. Leisure day on your own to relax in the beach of Playa El Yaque or beyond. End of tour. (B)

Orinoco Delta: Transfers in open fiberglass boats with outboard motors, with a maximum capacity of 16 travelers plus crew.
Mochima: Boat transfer to nearby islands. Car transfers from Orinoco Delta to Mochima.
Isla de Margarita: Commercial Ferry from Cumana to the island. Land transfers IN & OUT

Orinoco Delta: 2 nights in a rustic camp with rooms that include a bed and private bathroom.

Mochima: Posada with bedrooms + private bathroom.

Orinoco Delta: Suitable for all, very easy. The longest walk is from the boat to your room, around 40 meters.
Expect over 90% humidity, with high temperatures at midday.
Miraflores Canyon: 45 minutes each way + 10 river crossings + swimming
Cueva del Guacharo: 1 hour walking on flat, slippery and muddy terrain + darkness + high humidity.
We recommend NOT bringing hard-shell suitcases. Handling them can be very difficult and may incur additional costs at your expense.
Your luggage should not exceed 15 kg. Extra weight may incur extra charges, and airlines cannot guarantee transporting additional weight on the same day.
Take a photo of your luggage and label it for identification.
You are solely responsible for your personal belongings. If you forget something at any camp, waterfall, or natural location, retrieving it may require additional costs for fuel, logistics, personnel, etc., which will be exclusively covered by you in cash and on-site.

Weather at Orinoco is unpredictable, with heat, sun, and rain potentially occurring all in one day, sometimes within minutes. Be prepared for all conditions and temperatures.
