Roraima will really impress you and will demand effort to reach the top of The Lost World in our 7 days trek reaching the unique triple border between Brazil, Venezuela, and Guyana, Mount Roraima is a the perfect place for adventurous travelers. Explore the towering cliffs and unique landscapes of the mountain with the ultimate goal of climbing the summit.
Itinerary
Day 1. Parai Tepui – Tek River
We will depart very early in the morning at 8:00 AM. The journey begins in a 4×4 vehicle from Santa Elena de Uairén, lasting approximately 2 hours: one hour on a paved road to the park entrance in San Francisco de Yuruani, and another hour on a dirt road to the community of Paraitepuy. There, we will register with the park rangers. We will then hike 13.5 km for about 4 hours to the first camp, which could be Río Tek or Kukenan. We will spend the night there and have dinner (L,D).
Day 2. Tek River- Base camp
We will start the day with a hot coffee while we prepare our backpacks. After breakfast, we will set off before 8:00 AM. We will hike 7 km for about 4 hours. This day marks the start of the ascent, so the trail will become more challenging. Upon arrival at the base camp, we will have lunch and rest. Along the way, we will take breaks for a snack. We will spend the afternoon and night at the base camp. (All meals).
Day 3. Base camp to the top!
After breakfast, we will depart at 8:30 AM. This will be the most difficult ascent day as we navigate along the Roraima wall. We will take a snack break halfway through the climb. We aim to reach the top before 2:00 PM, where we will have lunch. In the evening, we will hike to the highest point of Roraima, called Maverick, at 2810 meters above sea level. There, we will take photos before returning to the camp for dinner. We will remain at this camp for 3 nights. (All meals)
Day 4. Roraima Mountain Top
After breakfast, we will head toward the Triple Point, the location marking the borders of Brazil, Guyana, and Venezuela. Along the way, we will also visit the Crystal Valley in Brazil and La Fosa. We will have lunch upon returning from Triple Point. This journey will cover approximately 17 km round trip and take the entire day. (All meals)
Day 5. Roraima Mountain Top
We will spend the day exploring the Roraima summit. This includes visits to the most popular spots: the jacuzzis, the Southern Crystal Valley, Maverick (the highest point), La Ventana, and the Abyss. Lunch and dinner will be served at the camp. (All Meals)
Day 6. Roraima top -Tek River-
After breakfast, we will begin the descent toward Río Tek, a 7-hour hike. We will have lunch at the base camp and dinner upon arriving at the Tek Camp.
Day 7. Tek River-Santa Elena de Uairen
The final day of the tour. We will wake up at 5:00 AM to pack everything before 6:00 AM. After breakfast, we will leave for the community of Paraitepuy, where a 4×4 vehicle will be waiting for us with a snack. We expect to arrive in Santa Elena around 3:00 PM.

Roraima:
Overland transfers from San Francisco de Yuruani to Río Tek in 4×4 vehicles.
Overland transfers from/to Puerto Ordaz or Ciudad Bolívar in sedan, 4×4 vehicles to Roraima, or local bus.

- Entry to Canaima National Park, Roraima sector: US$10 per person, payable in cash only. Bring small bills, as they will not have change.
Roraima: Minimum of 5 nights in tents located at the Tepui base, Río Tek Camp, and some caves at the top of Roraima.
For a 7-day trek, there will be 6 nights in tents.
You must bring your own sleeping bag and mat. If needed, we can provide them for an additional fee:

You will share your tent with another participant. If you prefer a single tent, you may opt for one at an additional US$40.
These extra costs are payable in cash only to our team at Roraima.
Roraima:
Not suitable for all. The trek covers approximately 80 km, requiring good physical condition, with steep climbs, high temperatures, and changing weather conditions. However, it is manageable and not highly difficult.
Porters are available for US$30 per day, payable directly in cash.
Daily Distances on Roraima:
– Day 1: 15 km – Mostly flat, with high temperatures across the savanna of Canaima National Park.
– Day 2: 9 km – Steep climbs with high temperatures.
– Day 3: 7 km – Steep ascent to the summit, where it’s cooler and shadier.
– Day 4: 20 km – Dependent on activities at the top.
– Day 5: 15 km – Descent from the summit, with temperature changes.
– Day 6: 13 km – Mostly flat with high temperatures.
We recommend NOT bringing hard-shell suitcases. Handling them can be very difficult and may incur additional costs at your expense.
Your luggage should not exceed 15 kg. Extra weight may incur extra charges, and airlines cannot guarantee transporting additional weight on the same day.
Take a photo of your luggage and label it for identification.
Remember that porters are not included, so every kilogram counts, especially for Roraima.
You are solely responsible for your personal belongings. If you forget something at any camp, waterfall, or natural location, retrieving it may require additional costs for fuel, logistics, personnel, etc., which will be exclusively covered by you in cash and on-site.
Mount Roraima: Accessible year-round. Rainy season runs from April to September, while the drier season (not completely dry) lasts from October to March.
In the rainy season, trails become more challenging and slippery, so fewer people attempt it. However, there’s often easier access to prime camp locations, and waterfalls are more prominent during this period.
The less rainy months attract more adventurers, making camps busier. This period’s advantage is that the trek is easier and safer.
Weather at Roraima is unpredictable, with cold, heat, sun, and rain potentially occurring all in one day, sometimes within minutes. Be prepared for all conditions and temperatures.
Recommended Packing List
Remember that every kilogram counts, as you will carry all personal items.

– Waterproof pants and jacket
– Hiking boots and sandals (preferably waterproof)
– Plastic bag to protect clothes and electronics from moisture
– Small plastic bags for dirty or wet clothes
– Trekking poles (not available for rent)

– Headlamp
– Biodegradable shampoo, soap, toothpaste, mosquito repellent, deodorant, sunscreen

– Underwear (preferably polyester or nylon for quick drying)
– Water bottle (1-2 liters, refillable)

If you’d like to lighten your load, personal porters can be hired from the Parai Tepuy indigenous community before starting the trek, usually for US$30 per day, payable in cash directly to them.
You must bring your own sleeping bag and mat; they’re available for rent if needed.
Tents are shared with another participant. If you prefer a private tent, it is available for an additional US$40.
